Frost

After a long while of walking, though the cold is no longer affecting them with the spherical shield in place, Shahrivrath seems to slow for a moment of Kanti's confusion - before suddenly bounding forwards, claws sinking into the ground. "They are here," he snarls, fixing his gaze on the ice-crusted seal.

Kanti staggers a little as she glides, trying to stay within the warm bubble that the taller dragon had made. She doesn't say anything, her eyes half closed until he snarls. Shocked, she over balances and topples to the ground, swallowing hard she shudders and looks around before she whimpers, crawling back towards Shahrivrath, her wings dragging as she starts to feel the cold once more.

Kanti realises he's not paying much attention to her, if any and she turns and painfully takes to the air again before she starts to fly off, shivering a little more. Her eyes close in pain but she doesn't make a sound, flying back the way they had came.

As Kanti passes through the barrier that is the shield, the cold instantly stings on her skin, aggressively attempting to intride. Shahrivrath whirls as she rises, hearing the beat of her wings - and without further thought curls in on himself, then leaps upwards, own strong wings whirling up dust as he heaves into the air. Snarling, his jaws open to reveal his sharp teeth, and his claws extend forward... he's frighteningly fast. Before she knows it, something knocks into her from behind, a heavy weight as though someone had hurled a stone at her, knocking her breath out of her, tearing her out of the sky. The bundle of flesh, warm within the temperature bubble, plummets to the smooth ground. Fierce pain shoots up her wing's base, sharp, curved teeth sunk into her flesh, forcing her to stay down.

Kanti struggles for a second then whimpers, becoming still, tears of pain pouring down her face. She trembles a little, her eyes closing before she sags, falling silent. She swallows then and hard, gritting her teeth against the pain before she squeals, her tail lashing although she doesn't try to rise. As the pain continues, she forces herself into stillness and silence.

"Fool," Shahrivrath detaches his teeth from her shoulder, heaving heavier breaths. "Do you want to freeze to death?" he sounds disturbed.

Kanti sobs in pain, not answering him, turning her head to eye the base of her bitten wingbase. Minutes pass untill almost sullenly she shakes her head and writhes slightly, panting herself. A soft snarl slips unwillingly from her mouth then and she bucks, wincing in pain before it drives her to stillness and silence.

Shahrivrath slides his left paw across Kanti's back, fingers curling around the nape of her neck, pulling her to her feet roughly. "We walk," he commands, pushing her into the direction of the seal. "If you're a coward, you can hide by the sidelines, but don't kill yourself, you stupid animal," he snarls, giving her a slight shake before he shoves her, letting her go. "Move."
